I haven't felt very confident with my muses since the new year, and I feel I've gotten very off track with them. Like insanely so. And currently, I'm working on a rewatch of the series to get back in touch with the characters and to y'know, play them better when I'm done.

So! Is there any crit other players have? Things that seem very off? Things I should watch out for? Am I hitting my marks anywhere? Anything that I can put in my back pocket and take note of when I'm watching the series is greatly appreciated.

For Duo Maxwell (lol_shinigami) and also, Quatre Winner (ttly_an_arab).

~~Ignore the fact this is late.~~ June 21st is Quatre's birthday! And Duo left a present for Quatre to find. Which happens to be a music mix because what's better than giving the boy who has everything something he really loves? Nothing, that's what. So Duo decided to make a couple statements, tell a story, and make another statement or two with music Quatre should end up liking. Well, he's hoping, anyway. ...and sorry, no DL link yet. Rhapsody is fail, and I didn't DL the songs before it decided to be a jerk.

Did you forget it's your birthday again? Bet you did. You need to work on that; it's the one day in the year you get an excuse to be selfish! But hey, here's a good reminder. I know, I know. You don't like presents and stuff like that, but you're finally ~~legal~~ 18, man, and you need at least one thing to remember that milestone.

Weeell~. Kinda forgot about my own journal here... Way to go, Duo~. But away from home work makes you busy; so does getting some people to work less. Really haven't been in the mood for this place either. Male PMS and all, y'know--it's totally great, guys.

But Jesus, my face...it hurts. Got an ugly black eye, sore jaw, and my lower back is killing me where I was rammed against the corner of a table...thing, whatever the hell it is. It was some fancy little thing. That's really painful. ~~Won't lie and say I don't deserve it though.~~

Life is otherwise boring. And good. But still boring. I might take up an offer with Une or go clubbing. Latter sounds a lot better. Decisions, decisions...

Just a moment between Heero and Duo late at night. Some emo but a little hopeful.

Heero: [Well hay thar Heero- way to sneak into the kitchen for a late night helping of tea- here's hoping you don't wake someone.]

Duo: [o hi thar. Duo was just sneaking his way on out. Please disregard the apple lodged into his mouth, the one in his hand, and the jar of peanut butter.] [Pauses, having the decency to look embarrassed for once. And then waves and gives a very muffled "hey."]

H: [That muffled greeting was rather humorous, please excuse him from laughing slightly.] Looks like I wasn't the only one with the idea to sneak into the kitchen.

D: [Yeah, talk to him when he's got an apple in his mouth. Are you looking for something else to laugh at it?] [Tucks the peanut butter under his arm and takes the apple out of his mouth.] Nope~. But I beat you to it.

H: [Damn, it would have been funny to see him try~] That you did. [Grins.] Are you going to head out, or would you like to keep me company?

D: [Oh, ha ha. Get some cheap tricks of making someone look like an idiot elsewhere, kthx.] [Go back to his room and mope or spend time with one of his hot BFFs...decisions, decisions.] Well, guess I could keep you company~. [Grins.]

H: [But Duo makes the best idiot~] [Hm, I'm sure that was such a hard decision...] Great. [Smiles, and goes about making that tea he came here for originally.]

D: [He protests to that, because he's not idiot, mmk.] [You have no idea, man.] [Sits uh...somewhere. Guess there's a counter with chairs around or something. Use your imagination~. And opens the peanut butter jar.] So what cha doin' up so late?

H: [But it's fun to make him look like one.] [Water has to boil, takes a seat to wait.] Hm? I've just been pulling some late nights recently. [Oh lol, he's still having those sleeping problems~]

H: [Emobondingmomenttiemisgo.] I haven't been sleeping well lately...It's nothing, it's been happening for awhile...

D: [Emobondingtiem,hurray!] Really doubt it's nothing, Heero... [Don't try that. He totally knows about nightmare-induced insomnia.] Thought about getting some meds for it? [Not that Heero would take them, he knows. But it doesn't hurt to suggest.]

H: They wouldn't work...[Frowns, isn't going to even try them.] I wake up and I don't want to fall asleep again. You can't exactly fix that.

D: [He saw that coming.] [Frowns too.] Dude, you can fix it! It's just...you gotta find the right remedy...

H: How long would it take to find that remedy...? [Oh hay, tea kettles whistling, he's going to go get that tea of his. Feel lucky if he continues this conversation after that.]

D: [No, they are having emo bonding tiem. He will continue.] [Sighs and takes the time to think. How long does it take? Because he sure as Hell hasn't found it. He doesn't sleep at all or very lightly. Lovely way to catch some Z's, by the way.]

H: [Fine fine it will continue~] [And he's back in his seat, this time with tea.] Any suggestions on how to find this remedy?

D: [om nom nom tea~] [Shrugs, still frowning.] I dunno... There's tons of crap to try, but who knows if it'll work...

H: [Indeed, om nom nom tea.] I guess it wouldn't hurt to try something...[Doesn't want to try things and have them not work D: ]

D: [on nom nom apple and peanut butter~~] So meds are out. There's what else? Therapy? [Knows Heero will say no. He would too.] Or just forcing yourself to go back to sleep? [You both leave Quatre flailing like a flailing thing.]

H: [Yeah the therapy thing would never fly.] I wish forcing myself would work- it makes things worse...[Sorry for making Quatre flail.]

D: [Makes a "wish I could help" face.] Well, I dunno, man... Need to find something though. [They do it so wrong, and Quatre just has to D: at them.]

H: If only it was simple as just finding it...There's no garauntee that anything will work...[Wow talk about being pessimistic.]

D: [Very pessimistic.] [Frowns and decides that peanut butter is more interesting than Heero's face.] Can still try though, right?

H: [Yeah well. Fine, tea is better than Duo and his peanut butter then.] Hn, I suppose...

D: [Don't be like that bby. That response just made Duo feel sad, because he doesn't have any hope he can have help too, but he wants it.] Doesn't hurt then. To see if you can find something, y'know.

H: [D: They can find help together maybe?] I suppose it couldn't hurt then... [Have a slightly hopeful smile?]

D: [D: Yes, maybe~. They should.] [Looks up and smiles a little hopefully too.] Yeah. [Totally dropping the emo moment now.] You'll have to tell me what works and doesn't, so I can use for a guinea pig. [ttly teasing, of course.]

H: [Oh thank goodness the emo moment is gone- he can laugh at that teasing.] Glad to know you value your friends as potential test subjects.

D: [Yes, bonding tiem over jokes is better.] [Grins.] What? Haven't you ever heard of learning from mistakes?

I stepped on a sharp piece of scrap today, probably shaved off of steel or titanium. Damn, it was sharp though. Went right into the ball of my foot too. I know, I know. I shouldn't have walked out barefooted, but I was just going to get some paperwork to finish a few shipments. Not like I knew Hilde hadn't cleaned up yet.

And it's funny that she's the one who bitched at me. It wasn't my job to clean up today, so why she's getting pissy at me for getting injured is beyond me. So I made her job harder with bloody footprints; there wouldn't be any if she had cleaned up earlier. And fucking Christ, you want to yell at me? Yell at me in English. So just shut the fuck up already.

At least Trowa was around. Guy's a real Renaissance man. He can pilot beautifully, walk on a tightrope, play the flute, and still manage to find the time to learn how to sew stitches. ~~Saved me from going to the hospital for a measly couple stitches too.~~

Still not too fond of cleaning it with alcohol though. It's fucking painful, y'know.
